Daniel Shah Foundation & Núria Toneu

Daniel Shah Foundation & Núria Toneu , is a Catalan NGO working in India since 1993; their founders are International Cooperants Núria Toneu and Daniel Shah, who work directly in the area.

​

All the efforts of the NGO are based on implement sustainable projects that improve the lives of the most needy rural and remote India (zones punished and forgotten by all).The foundation of rural development projects, education projects, support to women and girls, including socioeconomic projects.

​

Among many other projects, the Foundation Daniel Shah & Núria Toneu is present in all natural disasters that happen in the country, earthquakes, hurricanes, monsoon tsunami. So have carried out several emergency projects for the most affected.One of his projects is Sirena Primary School is one of their primary schools with which we work.

​

This school is in place since 1994, has 70 students between the ages of three and ten years who live in this area.

​

This school is regulated, which means that their students receive a certificate made in accordance primary and can access other training courses; many of his former students have had the opportunity to get to college, and two of them in particular two teachers, women are now the masters of Sirena Primary School.

​

The school is located in the district of Baruipur in Kalyanpur village, near where the Bengal tigers live in freedom. It belongs to the metropolitan area of Kolkata, located in the state of West Bengal.

WHY WORK WITH NGO?
